Sugaring

What is Body Sugaring?

Body Sugaring is a form of natural hair removal.

I have never been sugared, what can I expect?

A warmed sugar paste is applied onto the skin and then removed with a flicking motion of the wrist extracting hair from the follicle in the direction of the hair growth. The sugar paste lubricates the follicles and gently slides the hair out in the natural direction of growth so there is no pulling on the skin and hair breakage. That can mean no more ingrown hairs with proper post skin care. Regular body sugaring treatment leads to reduced hair growth meaning less hair, fewer treatments and a decrease in any discomfort.

Can Sugaring burn or tear the skin like traditional waxing?

No. Sugar is water soluble and will not stick to the live skin cells and is applied at body temperature, never hot!

Does sugaring hurt as much as waxing?

Many of our clients experience less pain when the hair is removed with sugar. And because there isn't any heat involved the redness will reduce much faster and there isn't any irritation afterward.

Chemical Peels

What is a chemical peel?

Chemical peels are used to rejuvenate the outer layer of skin and slough off dead skin. Regular use of superficial peels will improve common skin challenges such as acne, rosacea and brown spots.

Do chemical peels hurt?

While you shouldn't feel pain during or after the procedure, you may experience slightly increased sensitivity after. To avoid irritation or discomfort on your newly resurfaced skin, do not exfoliate for    48 hours after your chemical peel.

What can I expect to happen during the days after the peel?

Peels are completely customized to client’s skin, and the desired results. Usually, peeling is minimal and will occur two to three days after the peel.

How often should I get a superficial chemical peel?

For anti-aging and pigment control purposes, it is appropriate to get a superficial peel every three to four weeks. For oily, acne and breakout prone skin we suggest a peel every two weeks to keep ahead of the skin cell cycle.

How long will it take for me to see results?

You should see a positive change in your skin after three or four peels. We recommend purchasing a package of six peels.

What can I do to ensure I get the best results from my peels?

Pre and post home skin care products are a vital part of the chemical peeling process. Since, superficial peels remove layers of dead skin cells it is important to apply a mineral based sunscreen to protect your skin.

Yes, of course! I do not recommend waterproof mascara, and the use of mascara remover, they tend to weaken the perm.

How long will the Eyelash Perm appointment take?

About 60 - 75 minutes depends on how long and coarse the eyelashes are.

Can I get an eyelash tint after the Eyelash Perm in the same appointment?

Yes! Immediately after! So make a plan to stay an extra 15 minutes for tinting.

How long will the curl last?

The eyelash perm last will last 6-8 weeks.

How often can I repeat the Eyelash Perming

The eyelash curls will begin to drop gradually   (one by one) after about six weeks. The entire lashes will take about another 2 months to return to their natural look. You can repeat the procedure after 6-7 weeks and not have to wait until the entire lashes return to their natural look.

Airbrush Tanning

How does airbrush tanning works ?

Dihydroxyacetone (or DHA for short) is the tanning ingredient in all self-tanning formulas. DHA creates a tanned appearance by developing a brown color on the surface of the skin ,thus, creating a tanned appearance. DHA is a colorless 3-carbon sugar that when applied to the skin causes a chemical reaction with amino acids in the surface cells of the skin producing a darkening effect. DHA does not damage skin as it only affects the outermost cells of the epidermis, the outer layer of skin. The development of color takes anywhere from 6 to 8 hours and the intensity of color is dependent upon the DHA concentration in the product as well as each person’s skin type. The tan typically lasts 5 to 7 days and begins to fade as the top layer of skin cells naturally sheds.

Is DHA safe?

The sunless tanner dihydroxyacetone is currently the most popular way of gaining a tan-like appearance without sun exposure as it carries less health risks than any of the other available methods. To date, it is the only active ingredient approved by the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) for sunless tanning. The FDA has tested and approved DHA for use on the skin.

Is this gonna make me orange?

Our unique blend is designed for all skin tones so turning orange is a thing of the past! It is designed to give you that “just off the beach” look. But pleasemake sure to follow Pre- and Post-tan instructions, as well as remove any previous self-tanners with an exfoliant, as mixing levels of DHA can result in an undesired color.

Is there SPF in spray tanning?

No, there is no spf in our solution. A spray tan does not protect the skin from UV rays from the sun. We strongly advise you wear lotion with spf o protect yourself from harmfull UV rays.

How long will my tan last?

The tan typically lasts 5 to 7 days The faster your skin cells turn over and shed from your body, the faster the sunless tan fades. The tan created by the DHA affects only the top layer of the skin and will begin to fade after 4 to 5 days as the skin naturally begins to shed. To get the longest life from a spray tan, it is crucial to exfoliate prior to the spray tan application and to moisturize daily after the application.
